two things you have told me.

if i had to pick a favorite verse, which thankfully i don't, i would pick one from psalms that has spoken truth into my heart time and again.

"two things you have told me, one thing have i heard:

that you, O Lord, are strong and that you, O Lord, are loving"

i thought about this verse a lot last week while in haiti.

He is strong and He is loving. it's not either/or it is both.

haiti changed my life. odds are it will continue to change my life as i think, write, and talk through this trip. God normally does things in our lives via process, thus i imagine this trip will be no exception.

i was challenged.

blessed.

humbled.

encouraged.

tired.

anxious.

frustrated.

thankful.

mixed in with a lot of other emotions.

but He was strong and He was loving and that's what i needed.

it's what we all need everyday.
