right next to me was dr.jason larson who extracted more than 40 teeth today. i got to hold a few kiddos as their Novocain was working. there is something about knowing that pain is being afflicited in order to heal that is hard to understand fully.
it reminded me of what i'm learning in my own life.
it reminds me of what Jesus did for me. he was afflicted in order to heal us.
i wanted them to understand how purposeful it would be, but i know they couldn't understand right now. so i just held their hands knowing it wouldn't hurt forever. the doctors worked so hard today and i saw how important the gospel was. we must meet needs and for these people it means reliving some pain and or taking out a diseased tooth or giving them glasses to see.
the gospel is real.
