fab feb.

i have never liked february.
here are the reasons:
-the anticipation of the new year has worn off and the holidays are completely done.
-in the middle of the month is a holiday that was invented by hallmark. i'm sure there is some romantic story to why we celebrate it, but i wasn't listening in elementary school to that discussion so i missed it. it's a day to celebrate love and i don't like it because i think love should be celebrated everyday. (aside) to my future husband, roses & chocolate don't say love to me. let's just hang out; watch a movie and order a pizza. we can pretend it's valentine's day everyday.
-i feel really pale and out of shape because the winter cold has infringed upon excercising outside.
-it's 28 or 29 days long depending on the year. this continues to be confusing and slightly frustrating.
-i love the snow, but i'm also beginning to yearn for spring. it's the in-between that's hard for me.

all of these things and a few more have made my februarys not so fabulous. so a few years ago, my best friend and i initiated #FABFEB. we email each other with anything that makes february fabulous.

i thought i would invite y'all to join. tweet, facebook, or email: share what's fabulous about february. it makes the month a lot more fun, promise.

february 1st:
1. two words: SNOW DAY
2. homemade chocolate chip cookies.
3. fun phone calls with friends while being snowed in.
