as a kid i remember my mom always talking about all the snow they used to get when she was a kid because she grew up in upstate new york. snow days were always more fun for my mom than anyone else because they took her back to her childhood, even if it was only an inch or two. however, i think there were so many times when she had wished an inch could turn into 10 so we get truly experience a snow day.
today i finally understood because there is something unbelievably breathtaking about 20 inches of snow.
overwhelming? yes, but absolutely beautiful.
it's a snow day today, in an ithaca kind of way :)
and mom, you were right, it's way more fun!
