pete majors tweeted the other day: "SNOW DAY! the power of these two words when combined is quite amazing, no matter your age or occupation!"

and i would have to agree.

i have been convicted recently about how i do not rest enough. partially because i busy myself with a lot of things. sometimes i wonder how significant they are or will be. but also because He rested and He invites us to do the same. it was time for me to just take a day. make some waffles. watch a movie. read a book. laugh with my roommates. be grateful for what He's doing in this world and in my life.

rest makes me think about grace and goodness.

today i rested and i am better for it.

i'm going to bed for the first time in awhile not completely worn out or weary.

now if i can just figure out how to implement days like today in the midst of normal life.

i'll leave that issue for tomorrow and just finish the chapter i'm currently reading and thank Him for teaching me the value of His invitation.
