happy, happy 30th birthday to my sisterfriend, amber.
she has been my friend for 9 years and i honestly cannot remember life without her as my friend. she somehow remained my friend through high school, college, grad school, and will hopefully make it 75 more years :)
she has been the first i've called with great news or terrible news. she has walked through illness and heartbreak with me as well as being the friend that i laugh til' i cry with.
amber married a boy named kyle 3 years ago and though i never thought there would be a boy good enough for her; he proved me wrong. he loves her well and they make each other better. the only thing i hate is not getting to spend more time with them.
there is no one else in my life that i can pick right back up with no matter if we go 5 minutes or 5 months without talking. she will stand beside me in my wedding someday.
i'll probably name one of my children after her and she will always be one of my heroes.
amber, thanks for teaching me what it means to be a friend forever.
oh, and thanks for loving me even when i permed my hair and gently suggesting that i never do that again :)
