k-west was my home away from home for four summers.
i loved it.
and i mean that in every sense of the word.
so much of who i am was fostered through that place. those relationships. because of Jesus.
one summer during an opening day i was welcoming kids with some of the counselors and other KPD's. a mom dropped off her child for 2 weeks at kamp. before she left, she rolled down her window and yelled to us, the counselors, love you, mean it.
we were a little caught off guard.
we laughed a little.
and we owned the phrase as our own.
for me, it means that i am overwhelmed with joy and i just need to ensure that people get that.
so sometimes i say: love you, mean it.
because i mean it. and i need to make sure that you know that.
