today i had lunch with my friend, ashley. she is a precious, real gal whom i adore. she is getting married in 3 weeks. i love her story and as we talked i couldn't help but be giddy with her in anticipation for the day that she walks veiled down an aisle to her beloved.
fast forward a few hours and i was getting coffee with a friend whom is in a season of anticipation in a different, but beautiful way nonetheless.
continue on an hour after that and i was behind a camera capturing a sweet season in my brother & sister-in-law's life. they are anticipating tucker alan hill.

so today anticipation was all around me. all around us.
i guess we're all in some sort of waiting.
anticipation can bring forth joy because it's the reminder that there are new things that He is doing. however, i know anticipation is not always easy, in fact it can be unbearable at times.
but i know the waiting is purposeful.
we learn as we wait.
we find grace in the waiting.
we ask questions in the anticipation.
and in the waiting we learn to trust a little more the One who holds it all.
we wait on Him, knowing it will be worth it.
