design on a dime.

well it cost a little more than a dime, but not as much as buying a new dresser.

i am currently in the process of decorating my new home. we move in the first of july (shout out to foy vance) i digress. one of the things i knew i wanted was a dresser. my mom graciously gave me a dresser that was not being used anymore.

i love the lines & the simplicity of it. here it is before. it was in great shape, just needed some new drawer guides and a little TLC.

i sanded and fixed the drawers first.

and then painted it an ivory color, it's technically called vanilla creme. hobby lobby had their adorable vintage hardware 50% off!

just a fun afternoon outside, several coats of paint, a little drilling, and a little distressing and i have a beautiful new (to me) dresser for my new room!

i love how it turned out. i'll paint a bedside table to match. can't wait to reveal the whole room in a few weeks. until then i'll be jet setting across the U.S over the next month:

south carolina, little rock, and then virginia beach. stay tuned for stories, goodness knows it will be one adventure after another :)
