i work at the center for non-profits. in other words, the center for people who don't make their companies much money.

i love my job on most days and i love getting to work in a place that values so many different organizations that are seeking to make our world a better place.

it's redemptive.

today, i came in from lunch and in our lobby was this player piano, belting out "Joy to the World" i couldn't help but smile and say, "really?" so i walked into my office to find that my client was early to her appointment, so we walked back out to the lobby so i could take a picture of the piano. she thought i was a little crazy and asked why i was taking a picture of a piano. so i told her about #100joys and we talked about what brings her joy. it was beautiful and redemptive. so thanks, player piano.

i got home tonight and walked in and couldn't help but look at the painted letters on my piano and think about the above story.

He really is about joy and He really is about making it complete.

so of course this day is coming to a close with me and a bowl of homemade cookie dough. i'm making cookies for a party that i'm going to tomorrow night with my haiti crew. to say i'm excited to see everyone would be an understatement.

important note: in order to make cookies, there has to be dough and we might have a problem if i keep sitting here writing with the bowl next to me :)
