back to life. back to reality.

traveling the last 2 weeks has been eventful and purposeful with a little fun added in too.

charleston, south carolina was beautiful and the training for work, though exhausting, was good. i was thankful to be able to have a few hours before turning around to head to virginia. however, those hours were filled with my counseling licensure interview and a trip to the doctor. not exactly relaxing.

with only a few hours of sleep i got on a plane to virginia beach to begin year one residency for my Ph.D. program. i had expectations. i had fears.

it could not have been better.

without a doubt, i know i'm in the right place. though i'm still terrified of being able to handle all the work i am amazed at the group of people that i will get to spend these years with. they are wonderful and already feel like lifelong friends. God is good like that, he's in the business of building community. authentic community.

and i am so grateful.

laura became an instant friend. she is precious and as genuine as they come. so grateful for the friendship that was unexpected, but so needed in this program.

i can't say enough about my cohort and the depth that these people have. i am so humbled for the opportunity to learn and grow with them. though the days will be SO long, i know the years will be short. it is now back to life, back to reality. work. school. Jesus. family. friends. working out. errands. church:figuring out the correct order of all of these things will make all the difference.

obladi, oblada, life goes on...
