somethin' special

welcome to a new year. oh my soul, i am thankful!

i got to see my dear friend amber and her husband kyle for a dinner over the break. she has been one of my best friends for so many years, that i have lost count. we have walked through so many joys and so much heartache. our laughter can be heard for miles and the depth of our friendship is immeasurable. kyle is so great too and i love getting to see them live out married life.

for new years, i traveled to nashville to hang out with two of my best friends. it is safe to say that i have not laughed harder as i did those few days. meg & bre have a joy that is contagious. meg is that friend that gets me, she often knows what i'm thinking before i say it and she is wise beyond her years. bre is the funniest person i know (i am fully aware of what a bold statement that is.) when we're together we are funny. i think god made us friends so that we could laugh a lot,he knew we would both need it. why god allowed me to be friends with these two? well, thats one for the ages, but i'll never stop being grateful that he did. it was indeed a happy, happy new year.

today, marks the beginning of another semester of class. how many first days of class have i had? well if i were into math i would take the time to figure that out. but since i'm not, i'll leave that one for the ages. that makes two things that i'm leaving up to the ages (whatever that actually means)
i love JBU. my friends, professors, and classes are fun and refreshing. if any of you want to get your masters, you should come to JBU...i'm just sayin.

crazy love & unchristian are the non-academic books that are currently taking up my time. both are worth the purchase and time. though they are different each book is reminding me of my failure to love in ways i should, but the deep love of my jesus.
my doubt about who He is has caused me to question more, but also love more.

welcome to january, it's guaranteed to be somethin' special.
