okay, back to the movie and reminding myself that stuff like this doesn't actually happen. "sometimes i wonder about my life. i lead a small life. well, not small, but valuable. And sometimes i wonder, do i do it because i like it, or because i haven't been brave? So much of what i see reminds me of something i read in a book, when shouldn't it be the other way around? i don't really want an answer. i just want to send this cosmic question out into the void. So good night, dear void."-you've got mail.

you've got mail
there is something about this movie that i just absolutely love. maybe i'm a hopeless romantic or maybe just hopeless. whatever the case, the movie is worth watching no matter how many times i've seen it. in a way, i love that the underlying theme of the movie is books. i grew to love books as a kid and it's safe to say, i love them just as much today. "when you read a book as a child. it becomes a part of your identity in a way that no other reading in your whole life does". how many times did i dream i'm of being a member of the baby-sitters club, or compare my siblings to fudge in tales of the the fourth grade nothing? the fact of the matter is that books help us dream. which brings me to a suggestion for all friends and family, go out and get the same kind of different as me. this book was first suggested to me by my older brother and it took me awhile to finally get around to reading it, but i am so glad i did. it is one of the best books i've ever read. it's worth your time, i promise.
