eight years ago i was a junior in high school who watched the world stand still in the aftermath of the terrorist attack that changed our nation and our world.
it changed each of us.
it changed me.
today, i sit here on the brink of turning twenty five and i see just how much life has changed since that day.
it seems like forever ago and in some ways it seems just like yesterday.
there are families who lost so much that day. and i want to remember that.
there were stories of hope & courage that rose out the devastation. and i want to remember that.
so much was lost on this day eight years ago.
so much changed on this day eight years ago.
and in trying to determine what to say about the last 8 years, i realize that sometimes words fail and i should just remember.
