without a doubt i would pick the road trip and after just surviving spring break 2009, i would say that everyone should embark on such an adventure.
ben, geoffrey, and i left saturday and drove to conway to pick up mallory. from there we drove to auburn and stayed for the night. on sunday we ventured to orlando where we hung out at downtown disney, ate at t-rex cafe, listened to ben & mal toy with the idea of going on the world's largest sky coaster, and laughed a lot.
which brings me to the next disclaimer about a road trip: all should be prepared to laugh often and much.
on monday we went to the magic kingdom at disney world. it was SO much fun. teacups, space mountain, minnie ears...we did it all. there were moments when i understood why they refer to it as the happiest place on earth. we ate too much and walked even more, but all in all i wouldn't have changed a thing.
after a day at disney we headed to jacksonville and spent the next few days hanging out with the JAX crew and kickin' it at the beach. we all got a little too sunburned, but the beach offers an ability to relax like nothing else. it was great to spend time with my older brother, bhill, as well as the majors, jeremy, and cameron. there are times when i sit back and wonder why God gave me such wonderful friends and this trip was definitely one of those times.
thursday we went and watched the sunrise and then got back in the car to make the trek back home. We stopped for dinner in auburn with meg. it was SO great to see her and i loved that she got to meet the boys & mallory. the drive home was adventurous to say the least, but honestly i slept through most of it.
all in all, it was a fun trip. i learned a lot from these three great friends and it was so wonderful to get to see so many dear friends of mine along the way.
without further ado, i will close with a few of the quotes from the road trip and a little slide show. oh i almost forgot, the song is dedicated to mallory, ben, and geoffrey...
ben (while navigating through memphis): "listen, i'm just trying not to get us shot".
sav: "look, the memphis zoo. holla!"
geoffrey: "is that like code word for the jail?"
mallory: "oranges! let's go grab one!"
