meg! this girl is getting married SO soon. i got the honor of going to her dress fitting this week. it is safe to say that she is going to be the most beautiful bride ever. her heart is beautiful and watching her prepare for marriage has been so fun. allen befort, you are getting one precious gal. take care of her or else :)
tucker alan! this little man continues to steal my heart. he is working on 8 months of life and we will celebrate that day as we celebrate his parent's 2nd wedding anniversary. i am so thankful for the joy he brings to our family. i don't know what i did before life with his little grin. i also don't know what i did before life with this boy. meet aaron. i know it's only the 2nd time i've mentioned him on the blog, but it's not because he's not important. i really have failed at blogging. we celebrated 5 months of dating today. this boy is so wonderful. he makes life easier and just overall more fun. during the last 5 months i have become so grateful for his character, and his ability to make me smile, his quirky sense of humor that keeps me laughing, and his heart to constantly serve others. he is great and has taught me so many things. we have a blast dating and i love our story. i'm so thankful for him! he is the best thing.
and last, but certainly not least is the hilarious woman who is coming to visit this weekend. auntie is one of my all time favorite people. no one makes me laugh quite like her. i love spending time with her and my mom. they are awesome. when auntie comes to town it's a non-stop party. so i'm ready to laugh, dance, and drink a little beer with this girl. life is wonderful. seriously. though throughout the last few weeks there have been moments of frustration and lessons learned the hard way, overall i am so grateful for the way God has relentlessly pursued and blessed me. so many stories to share so i just need to find time to sit down and write them. in a month i will begin year two of my Ph.D program and will begin another dream of mine...teaching at JBU. sometimes i wake up and i cannot believe all that He has allowed me to participate in. throughout the last seven years it has felt like the Lord has taken a lot and this current season has been filled with one gift right after another. i'm learning that the Lord is purposeful in both and both seasons are needed. He is good and does good. I seriously could tattoo that on my forehead. the bottom line is my heart is full. the days are not always easy and i don't always trust him the way i should or love people the way i need to, but i'm learning. learning love to be exact. in new and old ways.
so in honor of friday night lights, i'll finish this post with these wise words
clear eyes. full hearts. can't lose.
that's how i feel.
