wild things part I

today, the beloved book comes to life before my eyes: where the wild things are

i cannot fully explain the joy of seeing this story come to life. i am currently wearing my shirt & spoke to druhill earlier who is also sporting his. we are going at 9:00 tonight. i cannot wait.
obviously there will be a need to post again about this experience but i didn't want to negate the importance of documenting the anticipation.

[aside: i am not normally this irrational in regards to movies, but there is just something about max & the wild things that makes me a little giddy] so judge if you must.

sometimes i miss childhood, mainly the mystery & imagination. somehow in growing up we trade imagination for a need for answers, explanations, and assurance. maybe it's not such a bad thing as much as it is just sad. oh the life of a kid...may the movie take us all back a little and help us imagine a little more.

wild thing, i think i love you.
