two weeks notice

so two weeks ago, i returned. it sure has gone by fast. so many moments throughout my day are reflecting on my time in zambia or thinking about the kiddos there. what are they doing? are they well? are they safe? honestly, with those questions, comes worry and a little fear which i quickly have to surrender. He took care of them long before i knew them, so why wouldn't He continue?

while i was in africa, my hands became very red, painful, and appeared very dry. i thought it was from the constant contact that the kids had with my hands because they loved to hold and rub everyone's hands. however, this week when it still wasn't any better i decided i should get it checked out. turns out it was a little infection but with the help of  antibiotic ointment it is improving quickly. though it was slightly frustrating, a part of me was thankful for the ever-present reminder of my trip and the children.

God is good and i am amazed at His faithfulness.

p.s. the USA men's relay team tonight was unbelievable. there has never been a time in my life where i was so into swimming as i am today.
