from the MOH to the bride.

dear meg,

today you are on your way to get your marriage license and tonight the festivities of the wedding begin. to say it is an honor to be your friend and stand with you & allen on this day is an understatement. your friendship is one of the good things in life and your love story with allen has made me know that love is worth fighting for.

the day is finally here. the weather is perfect. the details have completely come together and i pray that you and allen will be able to embrace and celebrate each and every moment. there are many things that i'd love to say to both of you. some of which will get to be said over the next couple of days, some of which will be written in a blog, and others which will only be prayed. but more than anything i want you to know that i want this these next 3 days to reflect the goodness of our Savior and the love that is able to found between two people.

because she always says it better than i can, i will end with shauna's niequist words:
"your wedding day is about the promise of the future and all the great moments of the past and, indeed, this beautiful present where you stand together, surrounded by people who love you and who are praying that your marriage is one of the great ones. it could be, you know, if you work hard and forgive often, and get over yourself and your selfishness over and over again. it could be one of the stories people tell, when they want to believe in love's power and life's richness. it could be one that your children and grandchildren tell each other, praying that someday they'll have a love like yours" (neiquist, p.156).

dance, laugh, and be married :)
love you.
